Mandatory continuing education for salespeople and brokers becomes law. Landmark changes are made to the REBBA for the first time in 50 years. Revisions include tougher consumer protection regulations that promise to elevate respect for the real estate profession, thanks to OREA’s lobbying efforts.

The 21st century marks OREA’s 80th anniversary. OREA gains national recognition after winning an award for Education Excellence from the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials. OREA also wins the Education Program award for their Real Estate Encyclopedia.
