The Canadian Association of Real Estate Boards is established. The issue of rent control, seen as curtailing housing for those engaged in wartime efforts, is on OAREB’s agenda.

The concept of co-operative listing services takes off in Ontario (other known as MLS® today!) and becomes a tremendous incentive for salesmen to join their local boards.

The Canadian Association of Real Estate Boards (OAREB) is established.
